I organised a braai for the complex i'm living in... Our resident band, Zamar, graciously agreed to play a few pieces for us while the braai's get started! The weather played along beautifully and the air was filled with beautiful chords and harmonies that only Zamar can conjure up. Zamar started up a few years ago in Stellenbosch. 5 enthusiatic youngsters, with a passion for music, came together and formed the group. Their music is fresh and entertaining and leaves u feeling excited about life and it's possibilities... Check out their clips on www.youtube.com or visit their site at www.zamar.co.za

There's a place to cool down and have Yummy lunch. Cool down? I here u ask... Well... In order for there to be butterfly activity... Geocaching! & Twitter

How cool is this... AND state that you found a cache on www.geocaching.com... and it automatically updates your www.twitter.com account that you've found a cache and gives relevant information! pretty sweet! of course... you have to link your geocaching profile to your twitter profile! I also heard news that twitter will soon be making their tweets geo-taggable... i.e. Get to know WHERE you friends are tweeting from! Should be pretty interesting to use that feature and see where the celebs are hanging out! Happy Caching!!!

Geocaching! getting started...

So.. you've read my post about geocaching... you would like to know more... ready further... I stumbled across Geocaching back in 2005 and thought it interesting but didn't have a GPS at the time! now I realise.. you don't really NEED a GPS... but never-the-less... A public holiday was dawning upon me and I figured that I'd like to take my seriously HOT girlfriend out and about and do something different! I had just recently aqcuired a really awesome phone... C702! and it has GPS on board. I remembered about geocaching and looked it up.. signed up and went out the next day (the public holiday) to go find our very first cache! needless to say, I had NO IDEA what I was even looking for. The closest cache that I could find(with my limited knowledge) was panorama medi-clinic hospital in Cape Town(GC1TMQ3)... so off we set.. two adventurers not knowing where we'd end up. We arrived at the place... I checked on Google maps as I didn't have geocaching software on my

Geocaching!

SO! you might've heard about it... You might've stumbled across it... or maybe this is the first time you even hearing the word... GEOCACHING!!! well.. this post is here to... help you find your way... ;) Firstly... what is geocaching? well.. here's the official intro at www.geocaching.com... Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache's existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS device can then try to locate the geocache. Secondly... Why the word geocaching .. well that's simple... Geo: as in geographical... Cache: as in a cache of arms... or a hidden cache of sweets.. or... well, look it up in the dictionary... it's there... I promise ;) Thirdly... How much will it cost me! This is the nice part... it's absolutely FREE!!! okay, nothing in this world comes FR

My first Geocaching event!

And so it is proven! Capedoc 's shoulder is truly better, now that he is able to twist and turn to find the elusive stash! It was really awesome to meet the faces behind all the names that i often run into whilst logging my finds. For those more interested in the high-tech, fun, treasure hunting game. Check out www.geocaching.com If you want to see a local cache of news... check out capefinds (cow and chicken's blog ;))

How to avoid SPAM!!!

I just recieved the following e-mail... Our main competitor, Nokia, is giving free mobile phones away on the Internet. Here at Ericsson we want to counter their offer. So we are giving our newest WAP-phones away as well. All you have to do, is to forward this message to 8 friends. After two weeks delivery time, you will receive a Ericsson T18. If you forward it to 20 friends, you will receive the brand new Ericsson R320 WAP-phone. Just remember to send a copy to Anna.Swelund(at)ericsson.com - that is the only way we can see, that you forwarded the message. attached is another "professional looking hoax'"! the funny thing about the attached hoax is that Sony Ericsson don't even MAKE LAPTOPS! SHEEZ.. if somebody sends me ONE MORE CHAIN MAIL!!! Interesting info, Jokes, Video's, Photographs are fine... and obviously personal e-mail... as for the rest... 1.
